WASHINGTON D.C. – It’s hard to take Democrats seriously when they cry wolf every time a Republican so much as blinks. Lately, they’ve been back on their fearmongering soapbox, screaming that Trump’s plan to reinstate and expand tariffs will destroy our economy. According to them, tariffs are economic suicide, will cause massive inflation, hurt American families, and signal the end of global trade as we know it. But here’s the problem: we’ve already seen this movie before. And their sky never fell.

Back in 2018, when Trump first implemented tariffs on Chinese steel, aluminum, and other imports, Democrats and their media echo chamber lit their hair on fire. We were told prices would skyrocket, jobs would vanish, and the global economy would collapse. None of that happened. Inflation stayed modest, wages rose, unemployment dropped to historic lows, and American manufacturing saw growth for the first time in years. Instead of learning a lesson from their false prophecies, Democrats have just reloaded their talking points and hit repeat. But they’re not fooling anyone anymore.

And here’s the kicker—they screamed that Trump’s tariffs were economic terrorism, yet Biden quietly extended most of them when he took office. Not only that, his administration even expanded a few, despite criticizing them during the 2020 campaign. Same story with the Trump tax cuts. Biden and Democrats called them a handout to the rich, promised to repeal them, ran entire campaigns against them… and then let most of them stay in place. Why? Because they worked. Working-class families got more take-home pay, small businesses thrived, and the middle class caught a break for the first time in years. But Democrats won’t admit that. They just silently reap the benefits while blaming the architect.

Let’s talk about border policy. Democrats spent four years attacking Trump’s immigration stance, calling it “racist,” “inhumane,” and “un-American.” They sued him over remain-in-Mexico, demonized the wall, and howled about “kids in cages”—a policy started under Obama, conveniently left out of the narrative. And yet, when Biden’s border crisis exploded into the worst in U.S. history, guess what happened? His administration brought back parts of remain-in-Mexico. They continued expelling migrants under Title 42, which they also slammed under Trump. They even considered building gaps in the wall they once claimed was a symbol of hate. The same wall Kamala Harris said no “smart” policy maker would ever support. Apparently, her GPS didn’t ping when political expediency required her to flip.

Even Trump’s prescription drug policies weren’t spared. Democrats railed against his executive orders to reduce drug costs, accusing him of trying to bully pharmaceutical companies. But the Biden administration later adopted pieces of Trump’s plan, including benchmarking drug prices to what other countries pay. The same people who shouted about Trump “killing people with paperwork” are now parading around pretending they discovered affordable insulin. It’s not just hypocrisy—it’s theft, repackaged in blue wrapping paper with a bow that says “we care.”

This is a pattern. Democrats don’t just lie—they lie predictably. Their entire playbook is built on scaring people into obedience, and when their predictions don’t pan out, they pivot without apology. They did it with Trump’s 2017 withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord, claiming it would destroy the planet. It didn’t. Emissions continued dropping due to American innovation, not international guilt-tripping. They promised repealing net neutrality would “break the internet.” It didn’t. Speeds increased and accessibility grew.

They said the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act would bankrupt America and only help billionaires. It didn’t. The middle class saw the biggest relative gain, and corporate repatriation brought in billions. They told us moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem would ignite World War III. It didn’t. Instead, it helped usher in the Abraham Accords, historic peace deals that Joe Biden pretended didn’t exist.

They warned Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal would lead to war. Instead, Iran was more isolated and struggling. They said getting tough on NATO allies about defense spending would fracture the alliance. Instead, more countries met their spending commitments than ever before. They said pulling troops from Syria would hand the region to Russia. But Trump also destroyed the ISIS caliphate and took out al-Baghdadi in the process.

Democrats told us the Supreme Court under Trump would destroy all rights as we know them. They still have them. They said Kavanaugh’s confirmation would erase women’s rights. It didn’t. They said overturning Roe would criminalize miscarriages. It didn’t. States regained control, but blue states made abortion more accessible than ever. It didn’t lead to “The Handmaid’s Tale,” no matter how many costumes they paraded outside the Capitol.

They told us repealing Obamacare would kill millions. Yet despite multiple challenges and changes, the core system remains intact, and no one is being denied emergency care. They said the 2017 FCC vote would end free speech. But last I checked, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter still work. They said Elon Musk owning Twitter would turn it into a Nazi rally. What actually happened was the exposure of government censorship and collusion, something Democrats desperately wanted to keep hidden.

They warned that ending COVID mandates and lockdowns would kill millions. But states like Florida, which reopened early, had lower death rates among the elderly and better economic outcomes than blue states who kept their boot on the public’s neck for years. They told us voter ID laws were racist. But after implementation in places like Georgia, voter turnout actually increased. More people voted, not fewer.

They said Trump’s withdrawal from Afghanistan would be a disaster. Funny how silent they got when Biden’s withdrawal turned into the most humiliating military exit in U.S. history, complete with abandoned allies, dead Marines, and billions in U.S. equipment handed to the Taliban. And when Trump tried to wind it down responsibly with conditions, they said he was surrendering. When Biden ignored those conditions and created chaos, they said it was Trump’s fault anyway.

They warned the 2016 election would be stolen by Russia. They spent four years screaming “collusion,” wasted tens of millions on Mueller, only to come up empty. But when the 2020 election had irregularities, mass mail-in ballots, unconstitutional rule changes, and unexplained statistical anomalies, questioning it became “threatening democracy.” The party that spent four years delegitimizing Trump’s presidency suddenly found religion in trusting the system.

They said Trump’s nomination of Amy Coney Barrett was an attack on women. Yet her appointment has brought more clarity and consistency to court decisions, not less. They told us January 6 was an “insurrection” worse than 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, yet not a single person was charged with insurrection, and many are still rotting in legal limbo without trial—something they used to call a human rights violation.

They said repealing student loan forgiveness would ruin millions. But the truth is, the economy didn’t flinch. Most Americans don’t have student loans and don’t want to pay off someone else’s gender studies degree from an Ivy League school. They claimed the repeal of mask mandates in schools would lead to mass death. Instead, it led to improved mental health, restored childhood development, and actual learning.

They screamed about Ron DeSantis flying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard. But when Biden was doing midnight flights into red states, they said nothing. They howled when red states tried to protect girls’ sports from biological males. But when polls showed voters agreed, they went silent. They accused Republicans of book banning, yet they supported pulling classics like “To Kill a Mockingbird” from schools for being “problematic.”

They said Trump’s rhetoric would cause nuclear war. Instead, he walked into North Korea, de-escalated tensions, and no missiles were fired. They said the economy was going to implode under Trump. But GDP soared, the stock market boomed, and unemployment fell across all demographics—until COVID, which Democrats used to burn the economy down for political gain, then blamed him for the ashes. (continued below)

So now they’re screaming again—this time about tariffs. The same party that screamed about tariffs, kept the tariffs, screamed about tax cuts, kept the tax cuts, screamed about border policy, adopted the same border policy, and screamed about drug prices while using Trump’s blueprint to lower them. It’s not just hypocrisy. It’s dependency. They need Trump’s ideas to govern while pretending they’re original and pretending he was dangerous. And the American people are tired of it.

We’re tired of being told that every Republican policy is the end of the world, only to see Democrats quietly embrace it six months later. We’re tired of the manufactured outrage, the emotional manipulation, and the constant appeals to fear. Their lies don’t work anymore. We’ve seen too much. We lived through their predictions, and they were wrong every single time.

If tariffs were going to destroy the economy, they would’ve done it last time. They didn’t. If Trump was going to start World War III, it would’ve happened already. It didn’t. If every policy they screamed about was as evil as they claimed, they wouldn’t be recycling them now. But they are. Because deep down, even Democrats know what they said back then was a lie.

And when people lie to you over and over again, you stop listening. You stop believing. And eventually, you start remembering who told the truth when it mattered. That’s where we are. The sky isn’t falling. The mask just slipped.

  1. Sadly, Nothing can change the way a Devout Democrat Voter thinks…….. Willfully Ignorant !

  2. I remember all the lies of the Democrats and their behavior. I trust President Trump to do the right things for America and her citizens including the hateful, leftist Democrats.
