Tragic Moscow Concert Attack Kills 150+; Global Outcry and Security Tightened

In a chilling escalation of violence that has left Moscow and the international community in shock, a brutal attack on a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow resulted in a tragic loss of life, with at least 150+ people killed and 140 more wounded, according to statements from Russian security services. The assailants, equipped in camouflage gear, launched their assault in Krasnogorsk, a north-western suburb, an attack that was captured in footage verified by the BBC, showcasing the terrifying moments as people sought cover within the venue amid the relentless sound of gunfire.

WARNING: MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY

The assault, executed with ruthless efficiency, saw four individuals directly involved in the carnage among the 11 arrested the following day, highlighting a swift response from Russian authorities. The venue, Crocus City Hall, was on the brink of hosting a rock concert when the gunmen infiltrated both the foyer and the theater, unleashing havoc. The aftermath was devastating: the building was partially consumed by fire, leading to a roof collapse and resulting in casualties that heartbreakingly included children. Russia’s foreign ministry has unequivocally condemned the incident as a “terrorist attack,” a sentiment echoed across the globe as details of the horrifying event unfolded. An online statement, yet to be verified, attributed the attack to the militant group Islamic State, hinting at a premeditated act of terror. This claim finds some corroboration in intelligence obtained by US officials and shared with CBS, indicating a potential threat by IS against Russia, a revelation that prompted the White House to issue a warning to Russia about the risk of an imminent attack targeting large gatherings in Moscow.

Amidst the chaos, Russia’s National Guard deployed special units to track down the perpetrators, with top Russian officials making their way to Krasnogorsk, underlining the severity of the attack and the state’s commitment to addressing it. This incident prompted the US embassy, two weeks prior, to advise American citizens to steer clear of large gatherings in Moscow, a warning that was reiterated in the wake of the attack, highlighting the palpable tension and concern for safety within the capital.

The Crocus City Hall, a venue known for drawing large crowds for concerts and events, was filled with over 6,000 fans eagerly anticipating a performance by the rock group Picnic. Witnesses described a scene of sudden and shocking violence that erupted just moments before the band was scheduled to perform, a violence that spared not even the performers, though they emerged unharmed.

The assailants’ entry into the venue was marked by indiscriminate firing, as recounted by a security guard who, along with colleagues, narrowly evaded the gunfire by taking cover. The chaos inside the auditorium was palpable, with attendees scrambling for safety amidst gunfire, with one individual recounting a harrowing attempt to seek refuge behind a loudspeaker.

The ensuing blaze that engulfed much of the building was reportedly sparked by the attackers’ use of incendiary devices, leading to scenes of fire and smoke billowing into the sky, a grim marker of the tragedy unfolding within. Eyewitness accounts from within the theater described the horror of the attackers’ onslaught, using petrol bombs to ignite the fire that led to a frantic evacuation, with some managing to escape through the basement or the roof, while others were not so fortunate.

In response to this unprecedented attack, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the cancellation of all public events in the capital over the weekend, a somber acknowledgment of the gravity of the situation and a period of mourning for the victims. The attack has not only drawn condemnation from around the world but has also reignited memories of past terror incidents in Moscow, drawing parallels to the harrowing theater siege in 2002.

As the city grapples with the aftermath of this tragic event, security measures have been significantly heightened across airports and stations, reflecting the ongoing concern for public safety. The international community, while expressing condolences, awaits further details and the outcomes of the ongoing investigations, hoping for justice for the victims and a path forward from this devastating episode of violence.

  1. This is why the United States’ 2nd Amendment is an INALIENABLE RIGHT!! If 15% of the 6,000 people there for the concert were armed then it would be 5 assailants against 1,000 armed citizens responding. It would have been more like 5 or 10 people killed at most, before the attackers were taken out. The U.S. 2nd Amendment is universal to ALL humans; but it is only expressly protected in the United States. The 2nd Amendment is essential for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I am sorry that Russian people were attacked. The common enemy is Islam – a corrupt psuedo-religion that is evil.

  2. you don’t hear the ainsteam media blaming guns on this massacre by the confessed Islamic Jihadists group

  3. I see that the wonderful “Religion of Peace” (MUSLIM) is at it again. What should we do about this scourge on humanity?

  4. I always thought the communist countries ran a tight ship.I did not think they would have this kind of problem? The iron boot hammer and cycle are a sign of dominance and force on its people. Can it be they have turned on each other for world control?I never thought Russia would have this problem! I wonder if the collage dummies still support the Muslims now????Or the LGBTQ people? Mr.Putin is NOT a man to push.He is NOT a puppet like Joe Biden. He knows who did this.I think there will be cities that glow in the dark very soon. Russia,China,America,Islam, all want to rule the world. They are killing off each others population to prove it. We are living the END OF DAYS.

  5. Russia president (Putin) will avenge the terrorists and kill them where our government (biden and his liberal cronies) will give them cash reparations for our American way of life is hurting their feelings causing them to attack us.

    1. I agree 100% with your statement. The scum who are running the current administration would probably give the terrorists ammunition for their weapons. I am sure as God made little green apples we will experience the same scenario in this country prior to November elections. Obama and Biden realize if they lose this coming elections there will be deep consequences for the treason which they and a host of others have committed against the Republic.
When the FBI states that there are over 70,000 individual who are persons of interest that have crossed the southern border with the tide of 8,000,000 you can be assured that the FBI is correct in its assessment.
If Biden/Obama aren’t traitors then I have no idea what the definition of treason is! Think of Quisling in Norway and Pierre La Val in Vichy France during World War 2 and you can see the sameness in Obama and Biden both!

  6. Russia has been killing Ukrainians every day for 10 years. The Russians took the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and women of Ukraine. The concert attack is karma that overtook them too.

  7. I find it interesting that the US embassy warned about it two weeks prior. Just as they have warned US citizens to leave a country or not be in certain locations in the past.
Sounds like they had inside information or possibly have something to do with it happening. It’s no secret that our government has done these kinds of things before and as like now have a vested money & interest in the same country Russia is fighting with now. Kinda makes you 🤔🤔🤔🤔
